If you’re looking for a new Travel Assignment this Holiday Season, consider one of these festive destinations. Each city offers something unique and special during this time of year. Whether you’re looking to experience the thrill of winter sports, world-class shopping, or romance we have a destination that is the perfect place to visit during the holidays.

Lake Tahoe, CA:One of the best locations in the United States for skiing this holiday season is Lake Tahoe, California. This resort town rests on the border of California and Nevada in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. While there isn’t a big need for health care professionals in Lake Tahoe, the surrounding cities have excellent opportunities. San Francisco is a three and half hour drive, Sacramento is just two hours away, and a trip from Reno to Lake Tahoe takes about an hour. There are several ski areas to choose from including Squaw Valley, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. There are also plenty of choices when it comes to lodging. You can choose from resorts that have their own ski areas, hotels, inns and even cozy bed and breakfasts. The fun doesn’t stop after the sun goes down. You can enjoy shopping, dining, or even catch a movie. Other breath-taking skiing destinations: Killington, VT & Sugar Mountain, NC

New York City, NY: New York City is regarded as one of the world’s best cities. It is a cultural hub for fashion, art, entertainment, education, and technology. It is also one of the most magical places to spend the holidays. Holiday celebration highlights include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop. While that might be enough to make you want to move here for your next assignment, the reason why NYC is on our list is the shopping. Madison Ave should be at the top of your shopping list. You’ll find everything chic there from the finest jewelry to the latest in fashion. If you like nothing more than to curl up with a good book, you’ll want to visit the Strand Book Store. Don’t forget to visit all of these signature New York City department stores including: Tiffany & Co., Barneys New York, and Bloomingdale’s. Other shopping hot spots: Minneapolis, MN & Los Angeles, CA

Charleston, SC: If you’re searching for a little more than the perfect gift during your next assignment, you might want to try looking in Charleston, South Carolina. Romance is in the air year-round in this sophisticated coastal town. The average temperature for this time of the year hovers around the low 50s so being outside during the day is quite pleasant and gathering around the fireplace at night is nice and cozy. Walking around the historic city is the best place to start your romantic journey. You never know who you’ll meet at some of the city’s popular attractions like the Charleston Waterfront Park, The Battery, White Point Gardens, or the Old City Market. You’ll also want to try St. Michael’s Church and the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. Planning the perfect first date will be easy. There are plenty of excellent restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisine ranging from down-home southern favorites to eloquent upscale dining. Finding the right outfit will be easy thanks to all the shops in the King Street Fashion District. Other romantic cities: San Francisco, CA & Providence, RI

Boston, MA: Many things come to mind when someone mentions Boston such as American history, higher education, and sports champions. The holiday season is the best time for a sports fan to live in Boston. The Bruins, the Celtics, and the Patriots are currently in their regular season. If you’re a soccer fan, the city has an MLS team and an NWSL team. Baseball fans can watch the Red Sox take the field at the legendary Fenway Park once the season starts back up in the spring. There are also a few colleges in and around the city that have large athletic programs.
